My only concern with this project is the whale looks "real" for all the detail work you put into it but the boat does not. The boat looks good for the overall composition, but it is also more of the focal point bec. it is brighter.

I think some of the colors might be a little off. It seems like the sky should be more of the color of the ocean you have and the ocean should be darker. What you could so with the water under the whale is play with the level of transparency so that the water looks more realistic. Also the whale looks pretty well done.
